Open plan living is increasingly becoming the first choice for a home layout, but you can never beat the comfort that a closed plan living space gives you.
On one hand, you have a wide, open and modern space that provides you with an abundance of light, but on the other hand, you can have multiple rooms that separate your space, allow you privacy and provide comfort.
So why is open plan living such a popular style choice?
The most evident benefit of an open plan is spending quality time with other members of your household.

Interestingly, since the coronavirus outbreak, open plan is no longer suiting the needs for many homeowners, and closed plan is once again, becoming more favourable.
With an open plan space, you can also expect to see more visual clutter, a higher frequency of noise travel, less storage space, less wall space, extra expenses, and for your home to be less energy efficient.
Don’t let this cloud your judgement, because open plan comes with a countless list of positives benefits, but it is important to always weigh up the pros and cons before making your final decision.
